EPISODE DESCRIPTION

The big challenge to in-flight communications has always been cost. The ability to allow a passenger to communicate off an airplane requires a lot of technology to work harmoniously. Expensive pieces of technology. But what if the on-board part of the technology is Bluetooth based rather than WiFi? This small change has a huge impact explains ASIQ's CEO Ron Chapman. Using Bluetooth his firm enables vastly lower costs of communications - like some of it for free. The solution is elegant and compelling. While Mr Chapman was limited in what he could share publicly, he certainly shared enough for us to think that what we are listening to is game changing. The airlines are going to love this idea. So will their customers.
